Campaign Synopses: Basically you have been appointed Governor over Rome under Caesar. You need to build and expand the Roman Empire, choosing a diplomatic or war path. If you choose the way of Diplomacy, you will be asked to deliver certain resources to Rome. You will also have to raise your city statistics to a given level. If you choose war...well, use your imagination. :)
The Good: The Graphics are awesome. Every building was designed and created with the utmost detail. Every Brick, tile and worker can be seen. Every building is animated according to what it is busy doing. For example, if there is no wood in the furniture factory, the workers are just lazing around and swinging off the roof. If there is wood, they would be busy working.
The environments are also very detailed. Water and reflections of the water are realistic (if you dare run this game on high graphics).
The Advisers are a big help in this version of the game. You almost don't even need to read anything. They will just tell you if everything is in order.
You also have a huge variety of building you can assemble. Loads of resources options and a lot more entertainment and decorative items. It's all in the planning. Plan your city perfectly from the start, and you can't go wrong.
The Bad: The game can get challenging when you start building really big cities. Finding the exact balance of Food and workers is sometimes a lot of work.
Game play can get repetitive throughout the Campaigns. There is just so much they can ask you to do...So you end up doing the same thing pretty much all the time.
Great game if you like Simulators and you like to sit and think for hours on end.
