Fool's Gold

Genre: Adventure

Score: 7/10

Synopses: Ben Finnegan (Matthew McConaughey) was a lazy surfer who is now obsessed with finding a legendary 18th century Spanish treasure, lost at sea in 1715. His treasure hunting obsession has cost him everything, including the his salvage boat and his marriage to Tess Finnegan (Kate Hudson). One day, Ben tells Tess that he may have finally found what they both have been searching for, but he needs money and a boat, and it just so happens she is working for billionaire Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland) who Ben convinces to go on a treasure hunt.

The Good: This is a really relaxing movie and doesn't really need all that much thinking. You can just sit back, and enjoy the ride. The chemistry between the 2 main characters is fantastically confusing. The story line is almost predictable, but has a few twists and turns along the way to keep you exited.

The Bad: Although a really good idea, there are some parts of the movie that are a little predictable, but it doesn't totally spoil the movie. They tried to do the "National Treasure" type treasure hunt, but could not do it as well as Nicolas can. :-)

It was an odd choice of movie to be honest, but I really enjoyed watching it.
